Registration Information

The online process is simple and convenient. Online confirmations are generated at the time you register. Your personal information is safe on our secure servers, and will not be used in any way other than registration.

Register by Mail
Click for a printer friendly version of the registration form. The form is a PDF (Acrobat) file. It may take a minute to download. You can then print.

If you don't have access to a printer, send us your check and a note indicating what classes you want. Be sure to include all six-digit course numbers for the classes you want. Please mail to arrive by the Monday before the class starts.

Be sure your email and phone number are included so we can contact you in case of class cancellations or other instructor messages. We will not use your telephone number for any other purpose. If you do not include your email or phone, we will not contact you if your class is cancelled.

Sorry, we do not accept credit cards for mail-in registrations. You can use your credit card without additional cost by registering online. Do not send cash in the mail.

Register in Person
You may register in person at the above address during day time hours. If the office is closed for lunch, use one of the printed forms from the catalog, then mail in the registration form with your check. Please do not mail cash.

And please remember, if you come to the office for in-person registration, we DO NOT accept credit cards. It's CASH or CHECK only.

Your Personal Information
Rest assured that your personal information will be completely safe on our secure computers. Your information is and always will remain private; it is used only for internal registration and office operation. We do not sell or give away your information to anyone. Period. Online confirmations are generated at the time of online registration. Mail-in registrations are processed as administrative time permits, and no receipts are given. Sorry, there are no phone registrations.

General Information
Tuition fees and class viability are based on 13 paid students. Fewer than 13 students may cause a class to be cancelled. Please include your phone number in case we need to call you. If you register by mail, you will receive your receipt in class. Register early! Classes fill quickly.

Refunds
For all Cooking Classes and One-Day Classes, there will be no refund if you are registered and do not attend.

You must cancel at the AAS office before class begins in order to receive a refund with a $10 deduction.

If a class is canceled due to insufficient enrollment, a full refund will be made.

There are no refunds for computer courses unless they are cancelled.

All other classes are eligible for refunds for six days after the first class meeting, as long as you do not attend the second class meeting. There is a $10 service charge per class for on-time student class withdrawals. This applies for all methods of registration. If you have registered with cash, you will receive a refund check from Albany Adult School.

Online Registration Refunds
Online refunds will be made to your credit card account. If you are withdrawing from a class on time, the $10 service charge per class is the same as for other methods of registration. Please call the Albany Adult School office at 510-559-6580 to make arrangements if you want to withdraw from a class.

Returned Checks
There is a $30 service charge per check for any checks that fail to clear through your bank.
