*Mind/Body Explorations "Gentle Yoga"
(Online registration: class is in the Personal Health/Physical Fitness category) In this class, chi gong is combined with gentle yoga and some practice work in cultivating positive emotions. Chi gong is meditation in motion and is a wonderful aid to digestion and balance. You also experience all the benefits of yoga – strengthening, flexibility, improved bone density, balance, improved immunity, glandular toning, proper breathing, deep relaxation and a variety of meditation techniques.

Some poses can be done in a chair. The corpse pose, deep relaxation & meditation techniques provide the unique opportunity to observe how the physical body responds/reacts to the variety of your thoughts & feelings. Become adept at noticing what your thoughts & what feelings are attached to those thoughts. Highly effective methods are taught that serve to shift stressful thoughts/feelings into those that promote health & well-being. Your feelings hold key information that allows you to pinpoint whenever you stray from the pure positive energy that is your true nature. With practice, it's easy to turn a negative thought/feeling into a better (not necessarily a best) thought/feeling, thereby enabling a visceral experience of relief. Practicing the Power of Affirmative Feeling by learning to engender, deepen and expand positive emotion helps you create an easy, joyous, serendipitous, healthy, abundant life of grace and well-being. Bring a mat and 2-3 bed pillows. (Eight classes starting Sep 17)
