Winter 2009 Classes

Albany Adult School welcomes the Winter season with the introduction of new classes that range from improving your technical skills in computer use, photography, and household repair to enhancing your creativity with poetry

Swimming classes are back! Details...

There are also exciting classes involved with self-discovery, international cuisine and women’s literature. See below for information on these and other new classes.

Investment Strategies - Level 3
Learn to make "buy," "hold" and "sell" decisions while employing all the analytical tools presented in the Level 2 course. More info on the Finances page.

Poetry - For Those Who Hate It

The Auteur: Film Interpretation and Criticism
If you enjoy watching movies, then take it one step further and learn to analyze/compare different works. More info on the Music, Arts, and Crafts page. The same class is held for Older Adults (50+) at the Senior Center. (Note the class code numbers are different for each.)

The Lives of Women - Women's Studies and Literature
If you are senior and enjoy literature, come explore short autobiographical pieces by American women writers. More info on the Older Adults page.

Class Fee Information
Tuition, fees and class viability are based on 13 paid students with the exception of Computer Classes. Sorry, we cannot prorate any of our classes. (See Refunds and Other Policies and Computer Classes for more information)

Swimming Classes
The Albany pool will be closing December 21st for about 2 years. Check the pool page for information on classes at other local pools when available. Pool contact info.
