Instructor: Deirdre Shibano
Class: Painting from Life All levels are welcome ... We will be drawing/painting from a live model dressed in period costumes and theatrical clothing. The class will start with a few short 3 minute poses that will decide the pose for the remainder of the class. Upon consensus, and the availability of the model, the pose may continue into the following session. A nominal model fee will be required based on the number of participants. You are welcome to bring a variety of mediums including oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolors, or charcoal. It will be a fun and supportive class. If possible, plan on arriving 10 minutes before to set up and get the full use of the time with the model. We will explore composition, figure and portrait drawing, and fabric painting. Individual instruction and class demonstrations will be available. The following list is designed primarily for acrylic paints, but can be used for oils as well.
