Darryl Allison has been involved in physical fitness programs since 1979. A former Golden Gloves boxer and basketball coach, he has taught at Albany Adult School for 1-1/2 years. He is CPR and AED certified through ASHI. |

Class Description: Physical Conditioning with Weights
This twice weekly class meets in the Albany Adult School's new fitness and weight room. Individual instruction on Nautilus and Olympic machines and bars, and aerobic bicycle and elliptical aerobic machines is available in a non-competitive, friendly environment. Individual fitness instruction focuses on each student's needs whether they are beginners or seasoned work-out junkies. The program is designed to develop physical fitness and flexibility, firm, tone and build muscle strength and increase overall stamina and mobility. Other positive results of weight training include improved heart/lung fitness, improved posture, heavier and stronger bones with reduced risk of osteoporosis, greater circulating blood volume, reduced stress levels, and increased mental alertness. Additional weight training information hand-outs are included with the class. |
