Computer Classes

*Indicates limited enrollment. indicates State supported.
PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED FOR ALL COMPUTER CLASSES. YOU MUST ATTEND THE FIRST CLASS TO CONTINUE. Students missing the first class will be automatically dropped, not allowed to continue, and will not be issued a refund. Constant lateness is grounds for being asked to leave the class. Cell phones are only allowed in class if on vibrate or silent. Students who allow the phone to ring during class, answer the phone, text message or play games during class will be asked to leave without refund. No food or drinks allowed.

Enrollment at first class only if space available and by approval of instructor. Books may be required for some classes. Seating is first come, first served.

Note:
Do not register for classes requiring instructor's approval until you have the approval. Your registration will not be processed if there is no history of taking the required courses for the class you want to take. For instructor’s approval or to ask questions, email Luann at

Introduction to computers: The computer lab uses Windows XP. While each version of Windows is slightly different, most of the commands are similar. These classes are for those new to using or learning Windows 95/98/2000/ME/XP/VISTA. Useful for those trying to decide between Windows and Macs. Classes are comfortable, small and usually limited to 13 students.

*Intro to PC Computers - Mouse Camp

(Online registration: class is in Computers category) Getting along with your computer's mouse can be as difficult as learning the computer. This is the perfect opportunity to meet the instructor and make the first computer course, Windows Step One, a fun and successful experience. A must for seniors who have not used a mouse and those who have no prior computer skills. If you have not used a mouse it is a requirement for taking the Windows Step One class (Section 043200). *Introduction to Digital Cameras

(Online registration: class is in Computers category) Try three cameras before you buy. What to look for when buying, how to take photos, transfer images to a computer, delete photos on camera and computer. Various editing programs. Lots of info and lots of fun!
